Greensboro, Ga. (July, 2007) - The July/August 2007 edition of GOLF FOR WOMEN Magazine announced their annual ranking of the "50 Best Courses For Women." As was the case for the last four years, the Oconee Course at Reynolds Plantation was ranked number five for 2007.

Ever year, GOLF FOR WOMEN Magazine invites a panel of prominent women in the golf industry to nominate their favorite public access courses, taking into account the entire golf experience from the quality of the course to the aesthetics and amenities. Their experts include golf course architects, top amateur players, travel writers, and members of the GOLF DIGEST Ranking Panel.

According to the ranking in 2005, "Of the [other] courses at this resort, The Oconee offers the best assortment of tees for women.  Water and trees add to the challenge, but the generous landing areas and green complexes are forgiving for the shorter hitter."

Playability, with multiple tee choices, received the most weight in the ranking. Their panelists also gave extra weighting to the quality of the amenities (locker room and clubhouse facilities, on-course restrooms) and the ability to create one's own golf experience (the option to play nine holes or to walk, or to receive top-notch instruction from a female professional).

The Oconee Course joins the Great Waters Course in recognition for superior play for women. In the June 2000 edition of GOLF DIGEST Magazine, Great Waters was ranked the number one most "Female Friendly Course."
