The Red Zone philosophy became a television show in the Fall of 2008. We created a competition that had 5 four person teams pitted against each other to see who could improve the most and who could compete under pressure. The level of motivation that our participants felt toward their short game for the 12 weeks leading up to the taping of the show is a testament to how we need to incorporate competition into our plan to teach or learn the short game.
These videos will give you a sense of our Red Zone Short Game philosophy at the Reynolds Golf Academy. We identify the Essential skills for the golf swing or short game and determine which ones your game needs the most. We then create a plan to turn these into habits. We are dedicated to improving your short game by using objective measures and competition to motivate you to maximum improvement. These ideas are outlined in a book I co-authored with Rob Akins called Golf's Red Zone Challenge. Click on this link to purchase it through amazon.com. Enjoy.
