New Rules Golf Quote of the Day

"The successful person has the habit of doing what the failures don't like to to do. They don't like doing them either necessarily.  But their disliking is subordinated to the strength of their purpose."

                                            E.M Gray

I don't know who E. M. Gray is but I find this quote to be very true.  I thought that at some point if I wrote long enough with my books and blog posts that I would like writing: I still don't.

I enjoy practicing some things in golf and not others.  The purpose of a worthy goal gets us to do the things that others will not do.  Keep practicing to reach your worthy goals and take heart that certain parts of the process are going to feel hard and not fun.

I could not agree more with this statement. When I ask my golfing buddy why he did not practice his short game. He told me, "It was not very much fun." This despite his intellectually knowing that he is not going to break 100 until he puts the time into his practice. We all have experienced similar incidents whether in golf or life. Everyone wants the benefit but does not want to do the work.

I couldn't agree more! Golf practice is great to do, but making the same mistakes over and over again, will not get it right. Use an instructor for help.
